Founder and CEO
Charlie graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Ancient History, but spent the majority of his time making films and managing productions; winning a National Student Television Award on his first directorial attempt. Spurred on by this, he began working in the film and television industry whilst still at University; acquiring experience as a production assistant and researcher with companies such as Big Talk, Kream and Pulse Films. This lead to working for BBC Worldwide post University in their Consumer Products Division, learning about every which way to make money from franchises such as Top Gear, Dr Who and Charlie and Lola. Craving a return to the more creative parts of the industry and having honed a reputable degree of skill in development, he worked for Left Bank Pictures (previously voted as No.1 Independent Production Company in the UK). After a short-spell in-house, he furthered his work in development, working for Kudos Film and Television as a freelance script reader and acted as a consultant for the US script consultancy service, Script Coverage Pro. After contemplating the increasingly complicated world of mobile video back in 2012, he decided to set up Mini Screen Pictures.
